Christmas is For Children – 2017-12-18
I was thinking about that holiday song, “Christmas is for children… but aren’t we all children Christmas day”…
There is so much we can learn from children…
keep it simple – don’t over think it
life is often so much better after a snack and a nap
You need to take time to get out and play or your attitude suffers
It’s ok to do something just for fun, and to want to do something without a logical reason.
When you are a child, your imagination has no boundaries – you dream of the day you can fly…
Your steps are light, and the music makes your feet and heart dance without effort
When you are a child, you laugh and express joy and don’t care if people are watching
When you are a child, you color your world in bright colors and they don’t have to match or be the latest hue
When you are a child, you soak up love and radiate it back – your smile brings joy to passing strangers, and your enthusiasm is contagious
When you are a child, you can come to Jesus in purity, with an easy “I’m sorry” and pride is not a barrier to seeing His love and truth.
Such a sweet reminder during this season of hope and joy…
We can share that joy with those who have so little to hang on to…
We can come to Jesus like that little child who just wants to sit on His lap… it’s really not as complicated as we try to make it.
15 Then they also brought infants to Him that He might touch them; but when the disciples saw it, they rebuked them. 16 But Jesus called them to Him and said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God. 17 Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it.” Luke 18
